Continuous development and growth combined with no nonsense management and highly skilled employees has significantly increased Rican Contractors capacity in installing shear, wear and threaded studs. Today the company is successfully operating on a number of major sites around Melbourne and in country Victoria. Rican Contractors has the capacity to service four major sites at the same time. There are five fully equipped mobile units with the ability to install 1500 - 2000 studs per day/per unit.

There are several important factors which enable Rican Contractors to participate in a large number of projects:

• Quality and compatibility of equipment – all of the stud welding equipment is made, designed and serviced in Australia. Welding boxes can operate from standard power supplies available on most building sites. This eliminates the need for generators, lengthy extension leads and greatly improves efficiency and accessibility to the job.
• Generators – Rican Contractors can supply its own generators if there is no suitable power supply available on the site. There are three generators available, each with sufficient power capacity for stud welding. Generators are normally used on sites where it is not convenient to use the existing power source. Our generators are also available for hire if requested.
• Qualified Staff – all of our stud installers are highly qualified and trained in the use of all stud welding equipment. Our stud welding installers have been fully trained how to set the machines and test the studs to comply with the Australian Standard AS/NZS 1554.2:2003. Operators have also been trained in Health and Safety procedures, to ensure that a maximum care is taken during the process of installations.
• Quality control – Rican Contractors have developed a quality control system which involves a regular supervision of stud welding crews, testing of studs and implementation of Health and Safety procedures on the site.

All studs are Australian made in accordance with the current Australian standards. All shear connectors are supplied by Epitech and all wear studs are supplied by Studwise.
